Brief history!

Samaljankan Kennel - Registered with FCI (Finland) and CKC
Jari Nirhamo (Samaljankan) has been breeding Alaskan Malamutes in Finland since 1991. It all started with a Norwegian-bred bitch (Finnish
ShowCh Najanin's North Horn Froy - Froy) and an American import male (Finnish ShowCh, Estonian ShowCh, International ShowCh
(FCI), Finnish Winner-90-91, European Winner-91, WienJGSG-90 Williwaw's Red War Eagle - Sunny). There are 4 Samaljankan litters
registered in Finland.

NYRAKYM KENNEL - Registered with The Kennel Club (UK), FCI (Sweden) and CKC
Karyn Colman (Nyrakym) has owned Malamutes since 1987 and has owned and shown dogs in the UK, Sweden and now Canada, registering and maintaining the
kennel name Nyrakym in all three countries. Karyn has spent a lot of time researching pedigrees, collating information on dogs in the UK, Sweden, Norway, Finland and other European Countries
as well as those in the USA & Canada. She has also written a number of articles on the health of Malamutes in the UK & Sweden as well as serving on the breeding advisory
board of the Swedish Malamute club for 5 years.

The first Nyrakym/Samaljankan litter was born in May 2000 and registered in Canada.
Since then we have had several singleton & multi-puppy litters.
We breed about once a year, aiming to produce puppies for ourselves first (with attributes and family lineage that we wish to perpetuate in our breeding program) and also to
provide healthy and sound (both physically and temperamentally) family pets for the discerning public.

One or both of us are currently members of
AMCA, AMCC,
SAC,
SCA,
CKC, ISDVMA and also support Malamute rescue groups in both the US & Canada including
AMAL and
The Alaskan Malamute HELP League.
