Siru has achieved a lot in her life, despite her colour! She worked well in harness (retired now due to her age), she has a real sweet nature, is great
Mom and has produced some very nice pups (including Star & Wayne) and has also done her fair share of winning in the show ring. She inherited a
lot of good points from her father, Sunny, and is a full sister to Astra. In Canada her colour has been more of a hindrance than in Europe but
she has still won a BOB over specials for 3 points! Siru has produced our first litter in Canada, which we are very pleased with so far. She was "retired" to enjoy her veteran years in
stress-free peace (deservedly so!) but she still insisted on performing maternal duties just one last time in 2002 - maybe retirement wasn't what she had in mind?!
Show wins include numerous BOB wins and Group 5 (FCI) placements as well as BOB brace with her Dad (Sunny) at the World Dog Show in 1998.
At almost 10 years of age, Siru came out of retirement and became a Canadian Champion. Then at over 12 years of age she strutted her stuff again and won BOS at the NY/NJ Specialty in October
2005. In November, at the AMCA National Specialty she won Best 12+ Veteran in Sweeps over 6 other 12+ Malamutes as well as placing 2nd in the 12+ Veteran Sweeps class at the
Regional Specialty and winning both regular 12+ classes at the Regional and National Specialties! She knows she is still something really special.
