Boyke came to Samaljankan Kennel as a puppy from from Mariette Pauwels and Johan Lingier (Joli Mapa Kennel) in Belgium, home of FCI International, Multi Ch. Joli Mapa Hero
Boy. He came from a long line of European bred dogs descended from imports from the UK and USA in the late 1960's. Boyke was an excellent sled dog with enthusiasm to spare and plenty of
stamina. He just loved to run! He sired a litter in Finland in 1994 with Astra, producing Finland's most titled dog, Ukko and his sister, Lilli, who also has done well in the show ring. Boyke was eye tested on several
occasions and x-rayed free of hip dysplasia and elbow dysplasia. Despite having been retired from "active duty", he was determined to leave his mark in Canada and sired our
2002 litter. At 11 years and 7 months we had to say goodbye to Boyke who is now running with the best in Doggy heaven.
