2000: Canada (First year in the ring in our new country!  Boy, did we have a good time and we made up 2 Canadian Champions)

April 29th & 30th

Micah gained 6 points in just two days during his first weekend out in Canada, winning Best of Winners on both days - and this boy was already 7 years old.
Friends of the Canadian Guide Dogs

May 6th & 7th

Micah won his last 4 points to become a Canadian Champion and went Best of Breed both days! Woo-hoo Micah,  in just two weekends! Lilli won her first sets of points gaining 4 points over the weekend by going Winners Female both days.
Arnprior Canine Association

May 13th & 14th

Astra made her debut in Canada winning 3 points over the weekend and going Best of Breed on Saturday and Best Opposite Sex on Sunday - as a veteran at 9 years old. Meanwhile Micah won Best Opposite Sex on Saturday and Best of Breed on Sunday while Doris won Best Puppy both days.
Hochelaga Kennel Club

 May 20th, 21st & 22nd

At the Veterans Show on Saturday evening, Micah won a Group 2! This boy was HOT!

At the regular shows, Astra won 5 more points over the weekend and won Best Opposite Sex on Monday. Micah won Best Opposite Sex on Saturday and Sunday and Best of Breed on Monday. Doris won Best Puppy on Monday.

The Ottawa Kennel Club

May 27th & 28th

Doris won Best Puppy on Saturday and won her first points on Sunday as Winners Female.
St. Francis Kennel and Obedience Club

June 10th & 11th

Lilli won Best of Breed both days while Doris won Best Puppy both days.
The Chateauguay Valley Kennel Club

July 1st & 2nd

Lilli won Winners Female both days for 4 more points and her Canadian Championship! Yeh, Lilli!
Kars Community Recreation Association

July 22nd & 23rd

Lilli won Best of Breed both days while Micah took Best Opposite Sex.
Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Dog Association

 August 25th to 27th

Astra won Best of Breed on Friday. Micah won Best of Breed and Doris won Winners Female and Best Opposite Sex for 2 points on Sunday.
Alaskan Malamute Club of Canada National Specialty

September 2nd

Doris won her class (12 - 18 month) and Reserve Winners Female.
Halifax Kennel Club

September 3rd

Siru won the Bred By class and Reserve Winners Female.
Save The Children Canada

September 9th & 10th

Doris won Best of Breed both days and gained more points.
The Ottawa Kennel Club

November 18th & 19th

At her first show in Canada, Star won her first points at just 6 months of age going Winners Female from the Junior Puppy class on Saturday!

On Sunday, Doris won the points winning Winners Female.

United Kennel Club

November 24th to 26th

Star won Winners Female, Best Opposite Sex & Best Puppy on Friday for 2 more points. She also won Reserve Winners Female on Sunday while Doris won Reserve Winners on Saturday.

2000: USA (our first, and only, trip to the US with our dogs was in the fall - we had fun and met some great people!)

Chicagoland Alaskan Malamute Club Specialty

November 5th

We took Doris & Micah down to the Chicagoland Specialty on the way to Oconomowoc and the AMCA National Specialty. Doris won a 3rd place in her class (12-18 month bitches) and Micah was given 2nd place in the 8 - 10 year Veteran dog class, both were owner-handled.
Great Lakes Regional Specialty

November 6th & 7th

Doris was awarded 3rd place in the Sweeps (12 - 15 months bitches) whilst Micah won 2nd place in the 8 - 10 year Veteran dog class of 8 dogs, again owner-handled all the way.
AMCA National Specialty

November 8th to 11th

Saxon (Nyrakym Dark Side of the Moon) was awarded a 4th place in a hotly contested 6 - 9 month Puppy class (10 dogs competed) - his first show, at just 6 months of age (literally - the pups were too young to compete in the Regional Specialty) under California breeder-judge Tracy Young (Midnight Sun). Way to go Saxon!
